Imaginative fun for children and adults.

I work as a mental health therapist in a hospital environment and I have two sets of Haba blocks, this and one other, on my coffee table where I sit with people who come in to see me. Virtually no one can seem to resist a jumble of blocks- kids, adults, staff- we all play with them. I don't have to invite people to play with them, they just see the blocks and start building.

Thus my table becomes the setting of an ever changing number of unique buildings, stories and villages.

These blocks are the perfect size for coffee table building. Larger blocks wouldn't work nearly as well. I love the imaginative shapes in this set. The block shapes, the green trees, the lions and the people invite folks to imagine and to play and to have fun. Which is exactly what I had hoped for!

So while your first thought is possibly about a child who might enjoy these blocks, don't forget the adult who might be sitting near your table, and perhaps would take up an invitation to playfulness if it were offered.
